As a Field Security Supervisor/Trainer for Guardian Security Services, you will be based in Blue Island, with the responsibility to maintain the health and welfare of our Officer's. You will be responsible to complete site visits ensuring Officer's are posted in a professional manner and that the site is well maintained. This position requires for the candidate to be the upmost professional individual, with exceptional communication skills!
Starting compensation for this position starts up to $21/hr, based on experience! Flexibility in your ability to work in this position is a must. We are looking to hire quickly for this role!
We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 3-5 years in the security industry or equivalent(Military, Law Enforcement, Customer Service) as required AND a minimum of 1-2 years Supervisory/Management experience is essential! Position Duties and Expectations:

  • Willingness and ability to work weekends, holidays, and cover additional shifts as required by management.
  • Proven ability to deal with challenging situations while remaining calm and professional.
  • Ability to work in extreme environmental temperatures heat/cold.
  • You will perform site training or retraining of officers as needed.
  • You will ensure that all officers understand and perform their required site duties.
  • You will update Guardian Security management as to any post operating procedure changes.
  • You will ensure the officer is maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • You will ensure the officer is performing their duties in compliance to all safety regulations and will report any observed violations.
  • You will document any uniform or policy violations observed through a written inspection form.
  • You will be responsible in maintaining the cleanliness of the patrol vehicle, as well as, ensuring the vehicle is properly fueled.
  • Required, periodically, to stand post to ensure our client does not have a breach in their security coverage.
  • Understand and maintain general post instructions for assigned posts by being the expert in all facets of the operation.
  • Supervise Security Officers, post operations and procedures for assigned area.
  • Reports directly to the General Manager and Operations Managers.
  • Ensure proper relations are maintained between the client and GSS.
  • Provide proper guidance, counseling and mentorship with the Security Officers.
  • Coordinate and maintain proper training for all assigned officers under your direction.
  • Ensure all logs are being completed to perfection and instruct when necessary for proper adherence.
  • Provide a warm and safe work environment by treating security officers with Respect.
  • Have the Integrity and extraordinary Decisions Making Skills to make sound decisions in the the absence of other supervision.
  • Control and monitor all escalated issues and report them to the respective authorities, the client and GSS.
  • Maintain practical knowledge of all additional and emergency post instructions that are called for by the client.
  • Maintain access control procedures set by management for all guests and vendors.
  • Effectively utilize access control systems, visitor management systems and CCTV systems as required.
  • Respond to incidents and document the event with accuracy and diligence.
  • Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time.
  • Provide unparalleled Customer Service, Public Relation interactions and have an Impeccable image at all times, in order to exceed our client's expectations.

Employment Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Education/Experience: Must be a minimum of 25 years of age. Possess a high school diploma/GED. Have a proven stable work history. Minimum 3-5 years security experience with 1-2 years in supervisory role. Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License, with a clean MVR (No moving violations within the past 2 years). Ability to use computers and easily able to retain the use of software and programs is a necessity.
  • Required Certifications/Screenings:Clean MVR up to 2 years. Must have a valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) or willing to apply for one. Must have a 20/40-hour training certificate or completed within in first 30 days of employment. Must have a current FOID. All applicants must complete a pre-employment screening process. Includes a background investigation.

Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently. Maintain an impeccable image and adhere to our professional military grooming standards. Must possess exceptional customer service skills, public relation skills and the ability to interact well with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds. Must maintain a working telephone at all times, in order for us to contact you. Must have reliable means of transportation. Flexibility to cover additional shifts, as required, by client’s needs.
  • Physical Demands:Determined by the client, the duties can be, but are not limited to having the ability to; sit or stand for extended periods of time; be able to patrol the premises, on foot, when necessary, for both indoor and exterior rounds, regardless of weather conditions.
